Public Information

The Cook County Board President and County staff have initiated a planning process to identify priority projects that make travel easier no matter how you travel (train, bus, truck, car, bike, or walk). They are committed to developing a long range transportation plan that strengthens our transportation system and improves the region’s economic potential. To ensure the plan responds to the needs of residents and business owners across the County—increases travel options, reduces congestion, improves safety, and advances economic and community development—a robust public engagement effort is planned.

Getting feedback directly from residents and business owners that use the region’s transportation network during the development of the plan is essential. Read more here about the Public Involvement Plan designed to ensure continuous public involvement from the start of the planning process to its completion (and beyond).
